![]() Subtract your bust size from your acquired bra band size to get your cup size. (Example: Round up to 37 inch if you have measured 36. In order to choose the best size to start with, follow the measuring instructions in each pattern individually. You can determine your bra band size by adding four inches to your band size. Tighten the measuring tape a little and round the measurement up or down to the next full number. Subtract your frame measurement from the bust measurement. Please in mind that bra fit has many variables, so don't worry if your size in one pattern is not the exact same size you wear in another pattern. Underwired bras have a much closer fit than non-wired bras such as the Watson pattern, which is a simpler bra style in measurements and drafting and has a more relaxed fit. How to calculate bra size First, take your measurements according to the rules listed above.
